Really happy with this place. Slowly becoming my favorite spot in Phoenix. Prices on the happy hour is unbeatable. Service could use some work, attendance to tables a bit low. Food taste really good and ambiance feels amazing. Love the music as well.

Yasuo Sushi & Tapas was such a pleasant surprise! We came in as a party of 8 for lunch, and not only did the food impress us, but the total bill came out to just under $120 -- amazing value for the quality we got. I wasn't expecting sushi in Arizona to taste this fresh, but Yasuo really delivered. The spicy tuna roll was especially good -- flavorful, well-balanced, and didn't rely on heavy sauces or mayo. You could actually taste the quality of the fish, which says a lot. They offer a great lunch menu with generous portions and thoughtful combinations that make it easy to try a variety of items without breaking the bank. Everyone in our group found something they enjoyed, and the service was smooth and friendly, even for a bigger table. The venue itself is modern and inviting, with a calm, sleek interior that makes you want to sit and stay awhile. My only complaint? The entrance. It's oddly dark, the "OPEN" sign isn't bright, and it honestly looked closed when we pulled up. It doesn't reflect the vibrant experience of waiting inside, and I really hope they brighten it up a bit -- this place deserves more foot traffic! All in all, Yasuo is a hidden gem -- delicious food, great pricing (especially for a group), and a chill atmosphere once you're inside. We'll definitely be back... now that we know it's open!

Very nice sushi restaurant, Yasuo is located in Scottsdale but is not on the main streets so feels like a place for locals. The restaurant is very modern and the staff friendly. The sushi was very fresh and presentation was excellent. Will for sure go back.

Love this place! Great happy hour specials on food! Came 2 nights in a row this week! Love the side salad, miso soup, fresh soup and Vegas roll not fried!

Wasn't our 1st choice but it is top 3 in Scottsdale now. We were absolutely winded by the good service and excellent quality fish! Their lunch menu is one of the best lunch menus I've seen in a long time. Lunch 8piece nigiri combo. All slices of fish were large and fresh. Rice was a good amount to balance the fish. 10/10! Yasuo Roll - yum! Interesting mango pico de gallo kind of topping but the spicy tuna really hit the cravings. Climax Roll - tempura was light and airy! No overwhelming oil so the bites were still fresh. See you next time Yasuo!

This is my go to sushi place in the area. I'm not sure why I don't have any pics from here. We like to sit at the bar. There are a few TVs and the sushi chefs are always friendly. It is fresh, yummy and very reasonable, especially the happy hour pricing. You won't leave here hungry. Fresh fish. Easy rice on the rolls so you can taste the fish. The shumai is delish. *If you like bubbly - try the Mio sparkling sake.

Very nice inside, traditional Japanese design, open seating with about 14 sushi bar seats. plenty of table seating, friendly prompt attention upon entering, clean & cool. Sat at the bar, chef was attentive & quick. Parking can be tight, popular center with plenty of great restaurants. I ordered the lunch special; 3 rolls for $12 or 2 for $9, I got the spicy salmon, spicy tuna & yellowtail , very tasty. I really like this place & plan to return when I'm in this area again.

A promising sushi place in a pretty shopping plaza in Scottsdale. When I stepped inside, the decor and ambiance was very modern and inviting. Their menu has a lot of typical things that you would find at a Japanese restaurant, but is heavier on the sushi and rolls than on other dishes like noodles. I appreciated the happy hour if you come for lunch after 2 pm (which we did)! I ordered some nigiri and a hamachi kama. The hamachi kama was great! It is a rare treat that you don't find everywhere. The service was quick and very good.

So after a Wednesday after noonish in Scottsdale. Having some delicious ice cream..I had a craving for some sushi..so then I.. Yelp Is How I Eat.. Found this little gem of a sushi joint! It had outstanding customer service. The tranquility was superb..and a lovely open sushi bar. Very clean and a nice place to relax, vibe and eat some sushi. I had me a Sapporo of course..but over all. A great place to dine for some sushi. Thank you Yasuo! Arigatō!
